Bryan Fury of the International Police Organization had a reputation as a skillful detective with a dark side. A case involving Lei Wulong of the Hong Kong police department pointed to a connection between Bryan and the drug trade. At age 29, Bryan was killed in a Hong Kong shoot-out. Instead of his body being placed into a coffin, it was brought to the laboratory of a reputed underworld scientist named Dr. Abel. Bryan's body was reanimated by Dr. Abel for special future projects. Though much of Abel's research was pioneered by Dr. Boskonovitch, he could be the first to complete an AI (artificial intelligence) controlled "Cyborg Army." But first needs Bryan to collect the perfect brain data from none other than Boskonovitch himself! Bryan successfully sneaks into the tournament and targets Yoshimitsu himself because of his close ties with Boskonovitch.
